Mama & Baby Yoga
Wild Mother postnatal mama and baby yoga classes take place at De Boezemvriend Cafe on Overtoom in Amsterdam Oud West.

Classes are set in a comfortable and supportive environment where women can meet other new mamas and enjoy some bonding time with their babies, whilst experiencing the benefits of a gentle postnatal yoga practice.
The class always starts with a lovely sharing circle, where we can discuss our journeys through motherhood together, and because we are the same group for 4 weeks, we can get to know each other and feel comfortable sharing our thoughts and feelings.
We then start to move a little. A key focus is on rebuilding abdominal muscles and the pelvic floor, whilst helping with any back and neck pain that you may be feeling. Helping mamas to start to regain strength and muscle tone but also relax and heal, whilst also having fun and bonding and moving with your baby.
Babies are included in the class as much as they would like to be and the class is a safe and comfortable space where babies can be fed, can sleep or diapers changed as and when they need to be.
Classes are suitable from 6 to 8 weeks postpartum until baby is moving around. If you are unsure when to begin then please speak to your midwife.
Bring a blanket for your baby to sit / lie on and wear comfortable clothes that you can easily move around in.
